Double The Pleasure, Double The Fun

At work today I was thinking to myself, "What bands have more than one person playing the same instrument at the same time (i.e. two bass players or two drummers.) In my personal opinion, bands that can perform this kind of feat are extraordinary. I know there are some might say its cheesy or retarded to have two playing the same instrument but that's not the case. But oh well, everyone is entitled to their own thoughts. Here are a few songs worth taking a listening to. In the song "Sunday", Bloc Party use two drummers. The bassist Gordon Moakes joins drummer Matt Tong to play this song. The second is a song called "This Mess" by an Australian band by the name of "Wolf & Cub." Wolf & Cub play with two drummers. The second entry is by one of my favorite bands (if you did not know by now) called "Cansei De Ser Sexy" (or CSS.) This song is entitled "Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above, (with the song reference to the late Canadian band "Death From Above 1979".) Cansei De Ser Sexy use two basses in this song, also, the members switch instruments throughout their songs. And last but not least we have a song by the English band "The Go! Team." The song is called "The Power Is On." Like Wolf & Cub, The Go! Team used double drummers

Fabrice Fabrice (comedian Nick Kroll) drops by the MTV studios during the Human Giant 24 hour marathon. Here is Fabrice Fabrice: Spoken Word

Am I A Horse? Am I On Fire? Am I The Curse?

Apparently, there is/was a music video competition going on from one of my favorite artist, Cansei De Ser Sexy, or CSS for those of the English speaking population, for the song entitled "Alcohol" (one of my personal favorites.) Fans were asked to create a "fan-made" video for the song and I think the band recorded themselves singing the song in front of a green screen, since every video has the same performance. Here are a few video entries: Oh, by the way Lovefoxxx (singer) is my new imaginary girlfriend :).
p.s. CSS call Sao Paulo Brazil home and Cansei De Ser Sexy translates from Portuguese into English as meaning "Tired of Being Sexy". It was taken from a quote said by "Beyonce."

Here Are A Few Of The Entry's:

CSS - Alcohol - Directed by Steve Glashier

CSS - Alcohol - Directed by Nicaroda

CSS - Alcohol 0 Directed by Jared Eberhardt

Just for the hell of it, Here they are performing "Let's Make Love and Listen to Death From Above" on Later...With Jools Holland

New video for "Atlantis to Interzone" by the Klaxons up now. Been out for a while but never saw it until Sunday night on MTV2's Subterranean. It makes me think they are playing on Stone Montian in Atlatna, Georgia with all the laser lights. My favorite part is where the drummer drops his stick on the first hit of the low tom. enjoi !!

My first blog post will be an MP3 cover of "Say It Right" by Bloc Party. This was originally a Nelly Furtado song, but Bloc Party has made it their own. Their version could pass as one of their own it is so good. Bloc Party performed "Say It Right" on Jo Wiley's Live Lounge about a month ago. So here it is for your listening pleasure:
