Couple New Tracks

So I have come across a couple of "newish" tracks this past week that I am seriously digging right now. First off, Coconut Records

Coconut Records is the solo project of actor/ex-Phantom Planet drummer Jason Schwartzman. His debut album is entitled "Nighttiming" and is produced by Incubus' Mike Einziger. I will admit, this is a little too "poppy" for me, but he was in Phantom Planet, so there you go. But his single "West Coast" is pretty amazing and relaxing. Enjoi..

First off, I will say this: Kayne West is an arrogant ass hole who deserves no recognition in the music industry! And I thik that Daft Punk are becoming played out (don't get me wrong, I truly enjoy their music with all my heart) but this performance pretty much blew me away. When I first saw the pyramid in the background I knew that it couldn't be true, but then 2/3 of the way through Daft Punk amzed the world. P.S. He looks like the fucking Urkel Bot with those pimp ass glasses.

So today is a pretty huge post since I have a lot to say today. First off, Hot Chip's new album "Made In The Dark" drops today. I don't know about most Hot Chip fan's but I've been one since I heard "Playboy" a few years ago. But my favorite track is the banger "Shake A Fist." A while back Radiohead released a set of Cities that they will be touring this year. Half of the shows will be played in the spring before their UK festival tour, and the other half will be played in the fall. Here is a list of cities:

Blows Me Away

Manchester Orchestra did a cover of Annuals' "Brother." This is amazing!!! I saw Annuals open for Bloc Party twice last year and they were amazing (the lead singer hit his drum so hard the stick flew out of his hand and hit me in the face, and I still have it.) Oh, how I love this song....

Artist Profile: LA MODE



Not much is known about LA MODE except that they are 3 young men from Australia. Taking influences from such acts as Daft Punk, French Pop, and Digitalism (to name a few,) LA MODE use their incredible DJ and programing skills to create musical masterpieces that can rival with the best of them. These boys make sure your ass is shaking on the dance floor and I can't get enough of them. Check them out at their myspace and especially listen to their remix of Bloc Party's "The Prayer." I only hope the best for these three and maybe one day they will upload some of their songs into mp3 format or for purchase, but until then, go to their myspace and turn your speakers to 11!

West Coast Vs. Eastcoachella

It has been announced (reported) that there will be two Coachella's this year. One will be the original that takes place every year in California, and the other will happen somewhere on the east coast (most likely New York or New Jersey.)
